The questions your team will have about us.
The answers the people around you will ask for, so your decision doesn't wait on us. IT, operations, HR and payroll, finance, and procurement and legal each ask a version of these questions before a vendor moves forward. Forward this to them, or print it and hand it over.

Your IT lead
WorkAxle deploys as multi-tenant cloud or as dedicated regional infrastructure for organizations with data-residency requirements, so workforce data can stay inside a required region. The platform holds a current 2026 SOC 2 Type II report and ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 certifications (2026), and it's GDPR compliant, supporting the full set of data-subject rights. Certificates and audit reports are available on request.
On the connection side, WorkAxle is a Workday Innovation Partner with Design Approval, listed on the Workday Marketplace, and an SAP PartnerEdge partner listed on the SAP Store. An API integration is available for Oracle HCM Cloud.

Your operations lead
The engine does the structural work: it generates a draft schedule and auto-assigns people by rule, and every rule violation in the draft is flagged before anything publishes. Supervisors keep the judgment calls: they resolve the flags, refine the edge cases and publish, instead of building the schedule from a blank grid.
When an assignment would break a rule, the schedule warns the moment it happens, a supervisor can still override, and that override is logged. Nothing publishes without a person.
For teams in the field, in retail, or without a fixed desk, employees can clock in from a phone, with GPS geofencing, Bluetooth beacons, or both confirming they're at the site, as configured per location.

Your HR and payroll lead
WorkAxle is the operational layer between your HR system and your payroll system, it doesn't replace either one. Employee profiles and organizational structure flow in from your HRIS. What leaves for payroll is time classified by the pay rules configured for your operation, with the schedule and attendance records behind it.
For Workday, time data exports to Workday and employee data syncs through the Marketplace connector. For SAP, WorkAxle integrates with SAP SuccessFactors over OData.

Your finance lead
Enterprise deployments measure in months, not years. WorkAxle implements 4 to 5x faster than legacy systems, and less complex environments move faster still, through productized industry solutions. Customers see positive ROI within the first few payroll runs.
We don't publish a standard price or timeline here, because sizing depends on your locations, your rules, and what you're integrating with. That's the first conversation, not a number on this page.

Procurement and legal
Five questions worth asking any vendor you evaluate, including us.
- Does the time record change when you move someone between posts, or later?Ours: the move writes it, as you make it.
- Can you see who is qualified for a role before you assign them?Ours: yes. The available list is filtered by certification, so unqualified people don't appear.
- Does a rule violation flag as the change is made, or does someone find it afterward?Ours: as it's made. It warns, a person can override, and the override is logged.
- Is the audit trail something the system produces on its own, or does someone have to assemble it?Ours: a byproduct of normal use. Nobody builds it after the fact.
- Can one engine hold multiple collective agreements at the same time?Ours: yes. Each agreement is its own effective-dated rule set in the same engine.
On data protection: WorkAxle holds a current 2026 SOC 2 Type II report and ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 certifications (2026), and is GDPR compliant, including the full set of data-subject rights. Certificates, audit reports, and deployment documentation are available on request.
