Certis Australia Goes Live on WorkAxle, Scheduling Around 6,000 People

Some go-lives change a system. This one changed how a business plans for both everyday and peak demand.

[Montréal, Canada - September 15, 2026] Certis Australia is live on WorkAxle. On August 3 the company launched the platform across its Protective Services and Aviation divisions, and around 6,000 people, employees and vendor resource contractors alike, are now scheduled on it.

Time and attendance tracking, award and EBA compliance, and integrations spanning Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP SuccessFactors and third-party providers were all operational from day one. The first successful payroll run followed a week later, and adoption has continued to grow since.

One roster for a workforce that is not one kind of worker

Managing a mixed workforce is notoriously complex. Full-time officers, casuals and subcontracted personnel each carry their own cost profiles and their own compliance obligations, which is why most operators end up running them in separate systems and reconciling the results by hand. Certis now rosters all of them side by side in one place, and that manual reconciliation step is gone.

Planning changed the most in airport operations

Forecasting passenger demand used to be a painstaking exercise managed in an isolated tool. It took significant effort to arrive at a single static plan, and that plan then had to be transferred to the roster by hand. Today the forecast is built seasonally, sharpened at D-12, and it lives natively alongside the schedule.

The difference is not speed, it is optionality. Instead of building toward one fixed answer, Certis planners can model scenarios, review the outcomes and adjust as often as the operation demands, then roster directly from the result. It is a capability Certis can put in front of its airport clients with confidence.

“WorkAxle has modernised our workforce management systems and transformed the way we plan, schedule, and manage our operations. Delivering a program of this scale and complexity on time was a significant achievement and the result of a truly collaborative effort between Certis Security Australia, WorkAxle and Zalaris. The commitment, expertise and exceptional support from all teams were critical to the successful delivery of the project.”

The people who held the line

Congratulations to Brett McDonald, Myriam Novak, Tomas Draper, Nik Kumsiashvili and the wider Certis team, who knew exactly what their future state looked like and held the line to achieve it. Thanks also to implementation partner Zalaris and to the WorkAxle team, who worked as a single unit to make this happen.

Certis Group selected WorkAxle to power its Next-Generation Rostering System in an agreement announced in August 2026, covering operations in Singapore and Australia.
