WorkAxle Named a Representative Vendor in the 2026 Gartner® Market Guide for Retail Workforce Management Technology

The recognition marks WorkAxle's first inclusion in Gartner's retail-specific workforce management Market Guide, and continues its multi-year recognition in workforce management.

WorkAxle, an enterprise provider of workforce management (WFM) solutions, today announced that it has been named a Representative Vendor in the 2026 Gartner® Market Guide for Retail Workforce Management Technology. WorkAxle is listed among representative retail WFM vendors headquartered in the Americas.

This is WorkAxle's first appearance in Gartner's retail-specific workforce management Market Guide. It follows recognition as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner® Market Guide for Workforce Management Applications for multiple consecutive years.

According to the report, Gartner defines retail workforce management applications as "solutions that enable retailers to manage the operational deployment and optimization of the in-store retail workforce, thus improving the effectiveness of store managers and associates for unified retail commerce execution."

Built for the operators with the hardest rules

Retailers run some of the most demanding scheduling environments in any industry. Hourly and part-time associates, multiple locations, shifting demand, and layered compliance obligations that differ by jurisdiction all meet on the same schedule. WorkAxle is built for that complexity. It gives operators control over the rules that govern their workforce, and keeps forecasting, scheduling, time and attendance, compliance, and payroll export in one connected platform.

That focus on complex, rules-heavy operations is what carries across WorkAxle's customer base in retail, healthcare, security, manufacturing, and other frontline sectors, where the cost of a missed rule is measured in grievances, penalties, and payroll rework.

"Retail teams live with complexity that most systems were never designed to handle."
Mat Diab, Founder, WorkAxle

Mat Diab, Founder of WorkAxle, said: "Retail teams live with complexity that most systems were never designed to handle. Being recognized in Gartner's first retail-specific workforce management Market Guide reflects the work we have put into giving retailers control over their own rules, not workarounds. We see this as validation of where we have chosen to focus."
